K-2 Music
My goal is for every student to find joy in music! We explore music through singing, playing games, movement, and dance. We learn to read and write simple rhythmic and melodic notation, and we use a wide range of percussion instruments. Each grade level performs a music concert once a year.

All grade level concerts are in the Windsor Elementary Gym.

About Mrs. Gioia
This is my twenty-first year teaching at Windsor Elementary. I graduated from Windsor High School in 2000, and am thrilled to be teaching at Windsor. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Webster University with bachelor's degrees in Music Education and History/Political-Science. I also have a master's degree in Early Childhood Education. I completed Level 1 in Kodály, as well as Level 1 Certification in the CME Institute for Choral Teacher Education.
I love gardening, cooking, reading, running, playing the piano, and traveling with my family. This summer we visited New York City and Minden, Louisiana. We love finding fun restaurants on vacation!
