O.W.L. Student Behavior Expectations
BE RESPECTFUL
Always use good manners and treat people considerately.
Leave the room as you found it (or better!).
Be a good listener* and follow directions immediately.
BE RESPONSIBLE
Always be prepared for class.
Be on time and make good use of time.
Make good choices. Take care of things and each other.
Be honest and own the consequences of your actions.
BE SAFE
Keep your hands, feet, and other objects to yourself (KYHFOOTY!).
Use objects the way they are meant to be used.
Listen and follow directions immediately in an emergency.
*“Be a good listener” means you…
LOOK at the person who is talking (make eye contact!)
LISTEN to what the person is saying (keep your mouth and body quiet so your ears can hear!), and
THINK about what the person is saying (keep your brain focused and actively engaged!).

A Brief History of Our Teams:
2021-2022 "Cargo Connect" Challenge. Our 7th grade team, "Cargo Caterpillars" earned the Project Award at the MICDS Qualifier. They were joined by our 8th grade team, "Loading...."
2020-2021 "RePLAY" Challenge. Our 8th grade "Hybrid Heroes" team and our 7th grade "Potato Farming Pigs" team were able to compete in person (parade style) at Christian High School.
2019-2020 "City Shaper" Challenge. Our 8th grade "Super Duper Uber Owls" earned the Project Award at St. Dominic High School. Our other 8th grade team was "Nutritional Breakfast Squad," and the 7th grade team was "Pancake Picker-Uppers."
2018-2019 "Into Orbit" Challenge. Our 8th grade team was "Outer Our Minds" and earned the Core Values Award at Christian High School. Our 7th grade team was the "Owlstronauts."
2017-2018 "Hydro Dynamics" Challenge. Our 7th/8th grade girls' team, "Purple Pouncing Panther Pack," earned the Core Values Award at the Christian High School Qualifier! Our 7th grade boys' team, "Mr. Roger's Neighbors," also competed.
2016-2017 "Animal Allies" Challenge. At the MICDS Qualifier, our 8th grade "FLEXecutives" earned the Core Values Award, and both our 7th grade "Purple Screeching Monkey Kings!" and 8th grade "The B Team" won the Champion's Award and advanced to the Eastern Missouri Championship Event!
2015-2016 "Trash Trek" Challenge. Our 7th grade "Komodo Crew" won the Project Award at the MICDS Qualifier and was nominated for the Global Innovation Award! Our other 8th grade team was "The Tux Capacitors," and our 7th grade teams were "Crystal Gems" and "Ceiling Fans."
2014-2015 "World Class" Challenge. Our 8th grade "Dream Team" earned the Core Values Award at the SEMO Qualifier! Our 7th grade teams were "The Nobodies" and "Burning Burritos."
2013-2014 "Nature's Fury" Challenge. Our first season started with just one team of 7th graders at the SEMO Qualifier!
