Virtual Reality Cart
Windber Area School District was able to purchase 10 Lenovo Virtual Reality Headsets to be used throughout the District. Below are resources that are available on them right now. If you are interested in using these in your classroom please follow the sign-out instructions below.
The Headsets come equipped with the Google Expedition App preloaded. There are over 900 Expeditions to pick from. A teacher tablet is provided with the cart so you can guide your students through the experience. Below is a link to all expeditions and resources.

The Lenovo VR Classroom kit comes preloaded TheWild Immersion, endorsed by Jane Goodall, wildlife videos. The Wild Immersion videos are a self-guided where students work independently through the virtual reality experience. This is different than the guided learning experience we explained for Google Expeditions. There are three videos to view Amazonia, Africa, and Asia.

Signing Out the Virtual Reality Cart:
1. Look through the list of Google Expeditions or Wild Immersion Videos and select the content you want.
2. Pick a date and check the virtual reality calendar to make sure no one else has the cart on the day you want to use it. For now the cart can only be signed out for an entire day. Please give me time to get them ready with the content you want, I need to know what you want to do atleast two days in advance of the day you will be using these in your classroom.
3. Put the above information in an email to help@windberschools.org. We will then add you to the Virtual Reality calendar. Frank or Tim will be with you to get it started and make sure you are comfortable with the technology before we would leave. If needed we can stay for the day if we know in advance.
