Meet Principal Krystal Cox
It gives me great pleasure to be the first principal of Wilson Academy of Applied Technology. As a graduate of Beddingfield High School and Wilson County Schools, it gives me pride and joy to be able to have a positive impact on the lives of students like so many of my teachers and administrators had on me.
I received my Bachelor of Arts in English with Teachers’ Licensure from Barton College. After which, I started my career in Wilson County Schools. I taught 8th Grade Communication Skills students at Darden Middle, before transferring to Speight Middle, where I taught the same course to students for three additional years. I received my Master of Arts degree in Education – Administration and Supervision from University of Phoenix. I went back home to my alma mater, Beddingfield High School, where I served as assistant principal for two years. In 2014, I was asked to create Wilson Academy of Applied Technology.
I am so excited to see the vision become a reality, and I am sure this school will engage minds and empower futures for years to come.
