If you have earned a bachelor’s degree or higher, there are alternative paths to licensure that do not involve a full educator preparation program.

iteach Tennessee

Wilson County Schools has partnered with iteach Tennessee to offer a low-cost path to licensure that will allow you to teach in a classroom while working to complete the program.

Job embedded

By enrolling in a job-embedded program through a local university like Cumberland University, Middle Tennessee State University, or Trevecca Nazarene University, you could be teaching in the classroom while completing coursework.


Signing Bonus for Hard-to-Fill Positions

Wilson County Schools will give a one-time $3,000 signing bonus to select newly-hired teachers who will be teaching in one or more of the following areas: Chemistry, ESL, Upper Division Mathematics (Algebra I not included), Physics, Special Education, and World Languages
