Thanks to a District 39 Foundation Gripp Grant, Romona Library now offers an online multimedia book collection. This new collection allows students to read and check out eBooks, interactive eBooks, and eAudio books (digital audiobooks) year-round from school and home. Romona students have access to the multimedia collection on weekends, extended breaks, and over summer vacation. eBooks books offer many benefits that the current print books in our library collection cannot provide. Some of these benefits include note taking and highlighting abilities, a dictionary, read aloud features, and follow-along text highlighting.
The multimedia books are compatible with computers, iPads, iPhones, iPod Touch, Android Tablets, Android Phones, Kindles, and Nooks. The eBooks and eAudio books are accessible through the Romona Library Media Center’s online catalog, the MackinVIA website, and MackinVia app available through iTunes, Google Play, Amazon App Store, Nook App Store, and the Mac App Store. Students can also download books to a device for offline reading. For additional information, please view the MackinVia Student Guide.
Students have their own MackinVIA accounts. Click the icon below to go to MackinVIA and login using the below information. Happy Reading!
