Holocaust Remembrance Day / Yom HaShoah
(Jewish)
Yom HaShoah occurs on the 27th day of the Hebrew month of Nisan and is a memorial day for all those who died in the Shoah (Holocaust). Many commemorate Yom HaShoah by lighting yellow candles to keep the memory of the victims alive. Many synagogues and Jewish communities gather together and mark the day through worship, music, and stories from survivors.Â
