Winter is a wonderful time to cozy up with a good book, and our reading clubs are a great way to expand your reading and make sharing books part of your routine. Our librarians can help you find a great read to brighten your day and spark your imagination. Children and families are invited to read (or be read to) and try fun family literacy activities to complete their reading log. All kinds of reading count: comics, chapter books, picture books, audiobooks, and more.
Pick up reading logs in Youth Services or print them at wilmettelibrary.info/wrc to get started. Finishers of all ages will receive a free book of their choosing! Winter Reading Clubs are open to all. Prizes will be awarded once per person. Winter Reading Club prizes are funded by the Friends of the Wilmette Public Library.
Stroll through our Winter StoryWalk in Hibbard Park, Ten Ways to Hear Snow by Cathy Camper, illustrated by Kenard Pak. This picture book is a layered exploration of mindfulness, empathy, and what we realize when the world gets quiet.
