Once you have found the Pop Up PD for you, click on the Blue Title of the topic. This will take you to a google form to request your materials. Mrs. Allan will send you an email with the online links you may need and then will send your physical materials through the school mail.
Complete your PD
In your own time, finish your Pop Up PD. These are designed to take about 5 hours minimum but, if you want to deep dive, take as long as you want (within that quarter). When done, send back the materials to Mrs. Allan in the same red bag she will send them in. Your PD is not done until you finish your Exit Slip.
FYI
You can checkout 2 Pop Ups within a quarter and up to 6 each year.
Each Pop Up is worth 5hrs of PD, complete 3 by the end of the year and you can get a Coyote Credit (limit 2)
Don't see what you need? Mrs. Allan is always looking for ideas! Let her know your needs and she can curate a Pop Up just for you.
🤔 A few last notes:
Each kit will vary with what you recieve - a few books, trifold folders, online links - but you do not need to read every line of everything you recieve. This is about what you need, when you need it.
After filling out your request form, the email you recieve will have suggested reading passages/chapters along with your online resources. You do not need to wait to recieve the physical materials (which may take a few days) in order to start your online exploration.
The email will also contain your link to the exit slip that will need to be completed if you would like Coyote Credit. This is how Mrs. Allan keeps track throughout the year. If you are just interested in learning and not the credit, just send back the materials and don't worry about the exit slip!
If your PD journey takes you a week or a month - please send back your materials as soon as you are done. There are a limited amount of each title and others may be on a waitlist. ALSO, you may recieve notice that you are on a waitlist. Mrs. Allan keeps track of who is next through the District Library Catalog, where there are more resources waiting for your exploration.
