Willard Intermediate North Safety Education Lesson
As part of Missouri’s Trauma-Informed School Initiative and as an added measure to support the safety and well-being of our students, Willard partners with The Victim Center to provide safety and prevention education to students from kindergarten through sixth grade. This safety lesson will be taught at Intermediate-North during December by a prevention educator from The Victim Center during our normal (i.e., 25-minute) classroom counseling time. The lesson will cover “5 Safety Rules Every Student Should Know” and will be presented using age-appropriate materials and vocabulary.

As always, you know your child best; my goal is to support all students and their families. If you have any questions or concerns or wish to have your student opt out of the lesson, please contact me by Monday, December 9th, so that accommodations can be made for your student during this time.
