WIESCO is thrilled to return to Plungė, Lithuania to provide a two-week program for local students ranging in age from 11 to 17.
Plungė is conveniently located about 50 minutes from the Baltic coast, certain to be a weekend excursion for volunteers in 2018. The town is walkable, full of history, and unique architectural sites like Plungė Manor.
Vilnius (the Lithuanian capital) and Riga (Latvian capital) are about equidistant from Plungė.
The students are reasonably proficient to very conversant in English and there is no need for our volunteers to know Lithuanian! You will find that your students and host student assistants will be very eager to show you around town and be interpreters.
