West Hartford Middle School Libraries Curbside Pickup Program

Bristow

• Books are placed on hold using the Destiny Catalog

  • Students sign in with their Google Accounts

  • All holds need to be placed in Destiny by 3:00pm Thursday afternoon.

• When the book is available, the student will receive an email.

• Pick-Up: FRIDAY

  • The books that students placed on hold will be placed on a cart on the sidewalk near the small visitor parking lot off of Highland Street. Cars may drive up and pick up books, as well as drop books off in the Bristow book drop (blue container that will say “Bristow Book Drop.”)

• Pickup Hours: 8-12:30pm and 1:30-3:00pm

King Philip (Beginning Tuesday, September 29th)

• Instructions can be found on the KP Library website - Curbside Pickup page

• Books are placed on hold using Destiny online

• When the books are available, student will receive an email

• The book needs to be picked up within the week or will be returned to the shelf

• Cars can drive and walkers can go into the circle in the front of the building and in the front doors - books will be held by the security staff station - no need to sign in

• Books can be returned in the KP book drop at the front of the building anytime

• Pickup Hours: 7:00AM-7:30AM, 8:30AM-12:30PM, 1:30PM-3:00PM

Sedgwick (Beginning Tuesday, September 29th)

• Books can be placed on hold using the Destiny Library Catalog

  • Watch video here

  • Students sign in with their Google Accounts

  • Students may request 1 book at a time (there are still 600 checked out from the spring!)

• When the book is ready for pickup, the student will receive an email.

• On Fridays the remote hold books (which were placed on hold before Thursday at 3pm) will be placed on a cart that is left just outside the main office doors in the Wardwell St. parking lot. If it is raining, the cart will be in the first set of doors next to the book return bucket.

• Cars may drive up and pick up books, as well as drop books off in the Sedgwick book drop

• Pickup Hours: 8-12:30pm and 1:30-3:30pm
