The Input Card has 16 circuits, and sends data from each of those circuits, plus some timing data, to the Logic Card, which sends the data on to TunnelWatch.

Typical Input Wiring
The TCS2 Input card has the following connections and indicators:
1. Note: The Input card connections are surfaced on the Motherboard, not the Input card.
2. Connectors.
a. Interfaces to the IN X connections (Where X is the input, A through P) and the SRC connections.
3. Indicators.
a. One green LED for each input. On when input is on. Off when input is off.
1. Turn the TCS2 main power switch off.
2. Pull the Input card out of its socket on the Motherboard.
3. Align the new input card with the card guides in the input card slot on the motherboard.
4. Push the Input card firmly in the socket.
5. Turn the TCS2 main power switch on.
1. No tunnel input devices are activating inputs on the input card.
a. If all inputs are not working, check to make sure the jumper from the 24V and SOURCE pins on the TB2 terminal on the Motherboard is present. This jumper provides a power path from the TCS2 internal 24VAC and the SRC pins on the motherboard input terminals.
b. Note: If the site is using their own power source for the inputs, there will not be a jumper in place. Instead, the site’s power source will wire into the SOURCE and COM pins. Check to make sure the site’s source power is providing the intended power.
2. Tunnel input device not activating the input on the input card.
a. Jumper the input connection on the Motherboard.
i. Locate the input terminal connection on the motherboard. Example: If the tunnel input device is connected to input A, locate the terminal labeled IN A.
ii. Use a jumper wire to jumper the input terminal to the SRC terminal located directly below the input terminal. Example: If the device is connected to input A on the motherboard, jumper the IN A and SRC terminals on the motherboard.
iii. If the input turns on, then the problem is with the tunnel input device or the wiring to and from the device.
iv. If the input does not turn on when the input is jumpered, the problem is with the TCS2. If other inputs on the input card are working, then the problem is with the input card. A different input should be used for that device, or the input card should be replaced.
