FFA and AGRICULTURAL EDUCATION:
When you put on an FFA jacket, you become part of a total agricultural education program that will connect you to exciting careers in science, business and the technology of agriculture. FFA is only one of three essential components of this system, all of which work together to provide you with the personal, academic and career experiences essential for student success. We refer to this combination as the "Three Circle Model" of Agricultural Education.
Part I: Classroom/laboratory instruction - Agriculture is rooted in science, math, business and technology. Get ready for exciting hands on opportunities that make textbooks come alive.
Part II: Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) - Through an SAE you can create your own lawn mowing business, conduct scientific research, grow plants, raise livestock, public speak, weld or learn how to make a difference in your community through civic engagement. Students create their own learning experiences outside of the classroom.
Part III: FFA - Makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
