Safety

One of the Most important concepts I can teach your child is safe mindful behavior. In this area you will find Instructions, test, and demonstrations of tool safety.

Tools Safety Sequence:

Developing safety skills and safe work habits is the most important skill you will learn in woodshop because it is the one thing you take with you to the work world.

In an effort to make instruction clear and accessible I have created on line safety instruction sheets that explain the rules for each tool. These are available to preview or review the information before taking the on line safety tests. All tests must be passed with 100% because if a student misses a question and then is injured relating to that misunderstanding it would be inexcusable. Therefore, safety tests are taken and retaken until students get 100% Safety Instruction Links: Read before testing

Listed below are the links to instruction sheets that correspond to safety tests. All students will take the safety test found on skyward using their student password. They must pass that safety test, see a demonstration, and show their skills before using the tools without supervision.
