This toolkit, outlines the statutory commissioned offer from Health and Local Authority of services and support available for children, young people and their families in Liverpool at different stages of their journey, including:
early help/pre-diagnosis
during the assessment and diagnosis stage; and
post-diagnosis.
It includes an overview of the services that provide information, advice and support, as well as exploring what’s happening and what to look out for in a child/young person in relation to the levels of need for neurodevelopmental conditions.

The Inclusive Hub is working in conjunction with the Kirkdale Neighbourhood Centre and supported by Merseyside Sports to host a 12 week programme of sports, arts and culture based activities; delivered by professional coaches and practitioners for children in years 3-6.
Activities offered will include: football, girls’ box-fit, circuit training, dance, yoga and a range of arts-based workshops.
The children will also be encouraged to work with us to identify activities they would like to see included.
The sessions will be delivered from The Inclusive Hub on Primrose St. L4 1RD (part of the Kirkdale Neighbourhood Centre building) every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. starting Monday 17th January for 12 weeks – there is no cost to young people.

On Kooth children and young people in Liverpool, aged 10-25 will have 24-hour access to self-help materials as well as goal-setting and mood-tracking tools. The online service hosts moderated forums, allowing for peer-to-peer support and interactive messaging with counsellors. Users are also able to drop-in or book anonymous online counselling sessions with qualified therapists who are available in the evenings and at weekends; sessions are available on weekdays from 12 pm and 10 pm, and from 6 pm to 10 pm on weekends.

The Liverpool ASD Training Team are providing in January 2022, a series of virtual drop in advisory sessions and training sessions via zoom.
1:1 Zoom Sessions
They are for parent/carers wishing to talk in a private one to one setting about any questions or concerns they may have about their child regarding autism. You do not require a diagnosis of ASD to book your place.
Pre-Diagnosis Course - Social Communication & Behaviour
This course offers families information and practical strategies to support their children/young people’s Social Communication & Behaviour Difficulties whilst waiting for an assessment to be completed.
The course will be facilitated over three mornings via zoom 9.30am – 12 noon.

The course aims to build on family’s knowledge of ASD and help to develop practical strategies to support the children/ young people.
