This course is a survey of the law and justice systems for students interested in pursuing careers in law enforcement and legal services. From initial crisis scenario management to arrest, transport, trial, and corrections, procedures and laws governing the application of justice in the United States are examined in detail, with special emphasis on the best practices and professional traits required of law enforcement and legal professionals.

This is the third course designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills to be successful in the sciences of criminal investigations. Students will learn terminology and investigation skills related to the crime scene, aspects of criminal behavior, and applications of the scientific inquiry to solve crimes. This course will possibly be offered as a dual credit or dual enrollment course.
