When talking to head coach Eric Mitchell about this improvement from the previous game where he said, “We had a good game plan defensively, they played extremely hard, we just had too many turnovers… We fought hard and we know we can play with the number one team in the state. We just need to come in and do that night in, night out.”
Leading the Warriors scoring this game was Sims, who had 21 points. When asked about what his mindset was Sims said, “Going in I knew we had to score the ball while taking good shots, so that's just what I tried to help the team do.”
The Warriors look to have another district face-off where they will play Stone Memorial Panthers on Tuesday, February 3rd.
