YES, KIDS SHOULD BELIEVE IN SANTA

The question of “Should I tell my kid about Santa?” is up for debate, but I believe all kids should have Santa in their life.
Childhood deserves space for wonder and magic and Santa is one of the few traditions that still protects that.
Childhood is the shortest, most precious phase of a person’s life and Santa adds more sparkle to make it memorable.
Children are now growing surrounded by social media, nonstop information, and some pressures that adults used to face much later.
Santa isn’t just some guy in a red suit, he represents innocence and just pure excitement.
Believing in Santa isn’t about tricking kids or telling lies, it’s about giving them a time of their life where magic feels possible.
Cookies on the table, reindeer food beside it, the Santa tracker online on the night before.
Not being able to fall asleep because you’re so full of anticipation? I mean in my opinion that’s just Christmas joy.
It all comes together and just creates a Christmas spirit that can’t be matched.
By telling their kids that Santa is real, parents are encouraging imagination, generosity, hope.
And when it gets to the school hallway, kids come together and talk about Santa. Something wholesome and universal. Instead of bragging about the things they got that their friends can’t afford.
Sure, when they find out that Santa isn’t real, kids are disappointed. But they get over it.
It’s a rite of passage.
A canon event if you will.
I understand the reasoning behind not telling kids about Santa. You don’t want to teach them dishonesty, you don’t want to take the focus away from the religious aspect, etc.
But let’s say you’re having health issues, are you going to tell a 5-year-old that you feel like you’re withering away?
No. You’re going to make sure they don’t see it an if they ask you tell them you’re okay.
You don’t want them to worry, you want to preserve their carefree, wholesome mind.
Yeah. Now do you see the relevancy?
As for the religious aspect, telling kids about Santa doesn’t mean you don’t tell them about your belief of the holiday.
I promise they can coexist.
The point that some don’t want to think Jesus isn’t real because they found out Santa wasn’t real was brought to my attention
