Dairy Queen's Eventual Arrival

After a long wait period, the city of Sparta had the grand re-opening of the Peacock Express gas station and the embedded Dairy Queen + Corner Cantina on December 8th at 10:00am.
The original announcement of Dairy Queen coming to Sparta was made on December 5th, 2023 by the city mayor, Jerry Lowery.
This addition brings change to Sparta.
As mayor Lowery said, “A local Dairy Queen and a Super Convenience Center brings energy, connection, and opportunity to a community.”
Located at 315 East Bockman Way, construction of the new building began in May of 2024. Now that the building is finally open the owners have given the public special offers to celebrate their new business.
Monday, December 8th, customers got a free cone with any Dairy Queen purchase.
Tuesday was the five dollar menu at Corner Cantina.
Wednesday any size of freeze, fountain drink, or coffee was only 79 cents.
On Thursday, customers could enjoy a free small coffee.
Finally, on Friday, the finale deal was a free refresher with any Corner Cantina meal, free coffee with any biscuit, and a fuel deal of 25 cents off per gallon from 4-8pm.
With this new businesses in Sparta comes prosperity for the community.
Lowery explained that “they create real jobs for local students, support school events, sponsor teams, and help keep the community vibrant and growing.”
