White County Highschool started their seasonal break on December 17, 2025 at 9:31am.
Students were excited and eagerly looking forward to the upcoming holiday break.
Christmas is the time of year when families get together and create memories, new traditions, and so much more; giving each member a moment to escape from their everyday lives to enjoy time with the people they love and live in the moment.
Many people travel and go someplace exciting, yet there is that soft, cozy feeling of staying home and embracing the holiday spirit.
Teacher Brain Everett kept his message short and sweet, expressing his favorite part of Christmas is “getting together and eating food”
The originality of Christmas is commonly viewed as receiving gifts and giving presents, yet people often overlook the fact that the holiday is about close friends and family.
Celebrating special moments with the ones you love is the center of the season.
Instead some inadequately celebrate the joyful moments with the eager possibility of collecting rather than simply sharing quality time.
Junior Kadrianne Clouse described, “A traditional Christmas day begins with waking the parents up at 6 a.m to start opening gifts, which brings lots of smiles…it’s a calm and peaceful day spent with family” (27’).
Clouse enjoys the moments of collecting gifts, yet with all things considered centers her day with family, building future cherishable memories.
While those special moments are heart warming, some spend their holidays traveling, getting to experience the Christmas spirit far from home.
Sophomore Christopher Andrew Pericht spent his holidays away from home.
“We went down to Orlando Florida and visited Universal’s myriad of parks. I had a blast” (Pericht 28’).
Those sweet moments shared with family is enough fulfillment no matter the place.
Students returned from Christmas Break January 5, 2026.
Although the sweet holiday is over, most are ecstatic to begin the new year, with left over blissful moods.
