About Me

My name is Robin Shelnut. I began my teaching career at Jack P. Nix Primary School as a paraprofessional in Kindergarten where I assisted for one year. After that year, I began teaching first grade. I enjoyed teaching first grade because I am passionate about children learning to read. It is so rewarding to watch a child evolve into a fluent reader.

In 2014, I began teaching at MYES. I taught Kindergarten at Mt. Yonah Elementary for 4 years. In fall of 2018, I moved back to teaching first grade. I am so excited to be part of such an amazing school!

I moved to Cleveland Georgia when I was four years old. I graduated from White County High School. I am married to Michael Shelnut. We have three beautiful children; Michaela, Dawson, and Maci. I have one granddaughter, Blakely Rae.
