My family and I have lived in White County for 22 years. My husband, Dennis, and I have three sons ages 32, 28, 22 and 3 daughter-in-laws. Our oldest son, Matthew, and his wife, Athena, reside in the Hall county area with our 3 precious grandsons, Easton (4) and Emerson (2 yr) and Paxton(2 months). Michael, our middle son, and his wife Corey and our precious granddaughter, Brooklynn (1 yr) live in Lulu. They are expecting their 2nd baby in February.

Dennis and I are active members of Helen First Baptist Church. Prior to moving to White County, we resided in Gwinnett County.

I love to read, swim, go out on our boat, teach, hang out with family and friends, and run!

I am looking forward to an exciting year!

My Bachelor of Early Childhood Education degree was earned from the University of Georgia in 1983. I completed my Master of Education degree with a reading endorsement from North Georgia College and State University in 2011. I also have my gifted endorsement.

I began my teaching career in Gwinnett County in 1983 and taught there for 13 years. My family and I moved to White County in 1996 and I took 10 years off to stay at home with our 3 boys. In 2006, I stepped back into the classroom as a second grade teacher at Jack P. Nix. This is my 2nd year year at MYES as a 3rd grade teacher and my 26th year as a teacher. Teaching is truly my calling and my passion!!
