Bio:

My name is Matt Dover, and I am honored to serve as the hub site teacher at White County High School, for the Futures Program. I have had the priveledge of working for The Futures Program for 10 years now, and for White County for 5 years. While at White County I have had the chance to collaborate with amazing teachers who work diligently to provide the highest level of education to our students.

Supplies for Civics/American Government:

• 3-ring binder (1")

• Pens and Pencils

• Clipboard (for note collection)

• Folder with pockets (to go inside 3 ring binder for organization)

• notebook paper

• Kleenex Tissues (for personal use only)

• Lysol Spray or wipes

• Personal snacks or money to purchase snacks from the snack machine

• highlighter

• glue stick/colored pencils/markers

• headphones or earbuds

• Please bring charged Chromebook to class daily.

**Cell Phone Policy**

I know we live in the modern age these days, and that almost every student owns a cellular device. However, I also know that you, as their guardian, want them to get the most out of their time in class. This year we will be following a strict cell phone policy, which will help eliminate unwanted distractions, while learning in the classroom. Cell phones will be allowed during specific "PURCHASED" times, but only after students have completed their classwork, and made up any missing work. The purchasing component will come in to play with the points they earn from their point sheet everyday. Students will be asked to keep their phones up during instruction, but they are more than welcome to turn them in if they feel too tempted. If there is an emergency, or you as their guardian needs to contact them I will more that gladly allow them to take that call. However, if they are on them during instruction time the following actions will happen:

1st offense- Warning

2nd offense- Phone will be turned in for remainder of the class block.

3rd offense- phone will turned in the entire day.

4th offense- phone will be turned into front office for pick-up from guardian.
