Jack P. Nix Elementary

About Me

I began my career in teaching in 1986 at White County Elementary School. During my career I have taught in White County, Iceland, North Carolina and Maryland. I have taught 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades as well as serving as an Academic Coach at White County Intermediate School before coming to Jack P. Nix in the fall of 2013 as Assistant Principal.

I earned my Bachelors and Masters degrees in Early Childhood Education from North Georgia College and a Specialists Degree in Educational Leadership from Lincoln Memorial University.

I have two sons; Page, a senior at the University of Georgia and Jackson, who attends White County High School.

I love being a part of the Jack P. Nix family. Now that we have become a K-5 school I look forward to maintaining our family atmosphere with the ability to have our students for 6 years. This gives us the opportunity to know our families on a more personal level as we watch our students grow K-5.
