Kristi Gerrells is a 1986 graduate of Dawson County High School. She is married to Stephen Gerrells, and they are blessed to have wonderful children: Kalie & Jacob Smith, Zachary and Taylor Gerrells and Hannah Gerrells

She attended North Georgia College and earned her degree in Business Administration and Accounting. She made the move to education to follow in the footsteps of her mother and grandmothers. Kristi is a fifth generation educator and returned to North Georgia to pursue her career in education. She graduated with a Master's Degree in Middle Grades Education in 1997, and she earned her Education Specialist Degree in Leadership from Lincoln Memorial University in 2008.

Before coming to White County, Kristi Gerrells spent her educational career within the Dawson County district in middle grades education. She held positions in language arts, social studies, reading, connections teacher and Assistant Principal. She was named the 2013 NASSP Georgia Assistant Principal of the year, and the 2013 GAEL President's Professional of the Year Award.

Mrs. Gerrells began working as Principal at White County Middle School in June of 2013.
