White County Middle School
Originally from the mountains of upstate New York, I settled here in 1988 to help care for my maternal grandmother. I have been married to Tommy Williams for 28 years. We have five children and five grandchildren. All of our children were educated in the White County system. We live in downtown Sautee and are members of Nacoochee Presbyterian Church.
The 2018-19 school year marks my twenty-seventh year of teaching. I began as a paraprofessional at Jack P. Nix Primary School under the direction of Jeannette Dixon. I obtained my teaching certificate in 1995 and began teaching second grade. After five years, the second grade was moved to the White County Elementary School and I had the great pleasure of working for Donna Allegood. WCES later became Mt. Yonah Elementary School and I worked there for a year. In August of 2004, the White County Ninth Grade Academy opened and I transferred there to teach 9th grade English. I was blessed to serve under both Rodney Green and Stephen Gill. After teaching 9th and 10th grade English and drama for nine years, I made the move to the middle school and am currently teaching 6th, 7th, and 8th grade drama. I am looking forward to a great year!
