Bio:

I earned my Bachelor's Degree In Early Childhood Education at Georgia State University. This is my tenth year teaching but my first in fourth grade.

I have always had a passion for learning new things and strive to instill that love for learning in my students. I'm an avid reader and look forward to encouraging your child's reading life. I believe that the most successful students are the ones with an activity family present in school. Please feel free to volunteer and stay in regular contact with me. As a parent myself, I understand that it can be challenging navigating the school waters. I am here for the students, guardians and the community. I look forward to partnering with everyone this year in the children's education.

The fourth grade classrooms are BULLY free zones. We spend time daily learning about respecting ourselves and respecting others. The students are encouraged and allowed to make mistakes while they explore and make discoveries pertaining to our state standards. Our goal is to foster a learning environment where the students take ownership of their choices and learning and help others be successful as well. I encourage open communication with all parents and guardians and hope that you will feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns as they arise.
