Mossy Creek Elementary
I hope everyone is ready to have a wonderful school year! I just wanted you to know a little bit about myself. This year will make my 16th year of working as a school nurse! I first started working in Hall County School System, prior to coming to MCES. This year is my 9th year at MCES and I love it here! I am also the lead nurse for White County School System, coordinating the efforts of all the nurses in the county and attending conferences and updates on school nursing to report back to the other nurses at our schools. I am married to Scott Goodman and have two adult children. Mary graduated in 2015, and Caleb who is a 2017 graduate and is attending Kennesaw State University. Along with running the daily aspects of the clinic, I will also be teaching your children several times this year. We will cover numerous different health topics, and these will vary per grade level. Please ask your children what we are talking about throughout the year, and look for my updates in the "nurse news" section of the parent communication letter each month. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at the above phone number or email, and I will do my best to help you. Just a reminder: if your child needs to take daily medications, you will need to bring in those medications and fill out the proper paperwork prior to those being given at school. NO MEDICATIONS will be given without the proper permission forms and having been received in the proper way. PLEASE DO NOT SEND MEDICATION IN YOUR CHILD'S BOOK BAG WITHOUT PRIOR APPROVAL FROM MYSELF. Please know that this is for the safety of your child, as well as other children. I look forward to working with your children!
