Bio:

I grew up in Cleveland, attended Jack P. Nix myself, and graduated from White County High School in 2004. In 2008, I graduated from North Georgia College & State University (before it became UNG) with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Special Education. I graduated in May 2021 with my Master's of Education degree with a concentration in Elementary Education from Truett McConnell University. I also have endorsements in reading, math, and gifted education.

When I first started teaching, I taught special education in both a resource setting and a co-teach environment for a year and a half at White County Intermediate School. From November 2009-May 2016, I taught fifth-grade social studies and/or ELA at the same school. In Fall 2016, I began teaching fifth-grade math, science, and social studies at Jack P. Nix Elementary School.  When we completely compartmentalized in 2022, I began teaching ONLY math, and I LOVE IT!!

I am married to my middle school sweetheart, Kyle. He teaches biostatistics at the University of Georgia. GO DAWGS! We have two sons, Bentley (6th grade) and Asher (4th grade). We love to play sports and video games with our boys, serve at our church, and share a passion for music, sports, traveling, and geocaching.

This year is going to be a great year. We have a lot of hard work in front of us, but with a little effort, we can accomplish anything! If you have any questions, feel free to email me at danielle.turner@white.k12.ga.us.
