Jack P. Nix Elementary
I grew up in Cleveland and graduated from White County High School in 2004. In 2008, I graduated from North Georgia College & State University (before it became UNG) with a Bachelor’s of Science in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. I also have endorsements in reading, math, and gifted education.
When I first started teaching, I taught special education in both a resource setting and co-teach environment for a year and a half at White County Intermediate School. From November 2009-May 2016, I taught fifth grade social studies and/or ELA at the same school. In Fall 2016, I began teaching fifth grade math, science, and social studies at Jack P. Nix Elementary School.
I am married to my middle school sweetheart, Kyle. He teaches biostatistics at University of Georgia. GO DAWGS! We have two sons, Bentley and Asher. We're members of Mt. Yonah Baptist Church, love to travel, and share a passion for music.
This year is going to be a great year. I am very excited about being a part of Jack P. Nix Elementary School! We have a lot of hard work in front of us, but with a little effort, we can accomplish anything! If you have any questions, feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
