Jack P. Nix Elementary
Hello Everyone! My name is Cheryl Allen and I look forward to teaching your child in first grade. I have lived in Cleveland most of my life. I have been married to my husband, Robin Allen, for thirty-six years. We have 3 wonderful daughters and 2 beautiful granddaughters. We have been blessed with girls!!! I feel confident that you, your child, and I will have a very successful and enjoyable year.
I graduated from Piedmont College in 2001 with my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. I continued my education and graduated in 2006 from North Georgia College where I earned a Master of Education Degree and an endorsement in reading. I then graduated in 2008 from Lincoln Memorial University with an Educational Specialist Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.
I have been employed with the White County School System for 24 years. I was a paraprofessional for six years and then began my teaching career. I taught third grade for two years and will soon begin my fifthtenth year teaching first grade. First grade is where my heart is. I enjoy teaching the students new ideas and watching them grow day by day. It is a joy at the end of the year to see how far they have come with their education and as children. I can't imagine doing anything else!
