Bio:
Hi, I am "Mrs. Ann". I have taught special education at Jack P. Nix since 2004. Prior to that, I taught for Buford City Schools and Elmore County Schools in Alabama. I have 25 years of experience in special education. I love this school! This year, I will be teaching one kindergarten student, second grade and fourth grade. I teach a combination of resource and supportive/co-teaching classes. I love the students I teach and hope to make a positive impact for them and for their families. I believe that developing relationships and establishing long term trust with students lays a firm foundation for learning. Mrs. Gretchen Bernier and Mrs. Kayla Shadburn are the amazing paraprofessionals that work with our students.
My husband, Freddie, and I have been married for 30 years. We have two daughters, Emily and Bridgett, who are both graduates of White County High School and the University of North Georgia. When I am not teaching, I enjoy reading by the river, shopping, and playing with my "grand cats".
