This cybercrime comic strip focuses on ransomware, a type of malware that encrypts people's information. You can only decrypt it with a certain code that the hacker will give only if a person pays a ransom, hence the name. The comic strip helps show what actions a person should take if they ever happen to be attacked by ransomware. It relates back to Big Idea 5: Impact of Computing, specifically 5.6: Safe Computing. That topic is all about how to stay safe when using computer systems, and being aware of malware, like ransomware, is a big topic.
These graphs and data are the after result of cleaning messy data. I was first given the spreadsheets with a few mistakes like missing data, incorrect data or repeated data, and then I was given the documents with the correct data. My task was to fix all errors in the spreadsheets so that the results were accurate. This is just one example of information about certain zoo animals. This relates to Big Idea 2: Data, which has the topic 2.3: Extracting Information From Data. That topic contains the issue of what to do with messy data, which is data that has many errors. People go through that data and fix what needs to be altered, just like what I did for this assignment.
