Project Directions
Role play a psychologist who is a member of the American Psychological Association. You have been invited to a convention to give a PowerPoint or Google Slides presentation on a specific psychological disorder.
In your presentation, follow the guidelines below:

Name the disorder. (slide 1)
Define the disorder. (slide 2)
List the statistics and prevalence of the disorder in the US and world. Are there areas that have higher numbers? (slide 3)
Describe how the disorder affects the individual affects the individual/ symptoms. (slide 4)
Give a real life example of someone who has the disorder. Make up an example if you cannot find an actual person who has it. (slide 5)
Discuss known and possible causes of the disorder. (slide 6)
Discuss known therapies for the disorder. (slide 7)
Discuss known medications used to treat the disorder. (slide 8)
List associated disorders that are similar or part of your disorder. (slide 9)
Presentation Tips:
Use pictures and other PowerPoint/Google Slide options to enhance your presentation. Make sure that they are appropriate for the course and school.
If there are short video clips on your topic (max. 2 minutes) you can incorporate them into your presentation.
PowerPoint/Google Slides are only a visual aid for your presentation.
Each slide will highlight major points of information.
Please do not read word for word from the slide.
You should not have any paragraphs on your slides.
