What is the JROTC?
JROTC is a credit-earning course that can count as a physical education or elective credit in the Public Service Career Tract.
Why sign up for JROTC?
JROTC is a course in leadership and life skills. As a Cadet, you will learn to follow first, and lead second.
JROTC provides elective credit for all four years in high school & provides the TX State PE credit.
All leaders in the JROTC program are students who joined the program just like you!
Who teaches JROTC?
Both Army JROTC Instructors are retired from the U.S. Army after 20+ years in the military.
Their job is to teach you how to become self-motivated, self-disciplined, and team driven.
What would I do in JROTC?
Cadets in JROTC learn valuable leadership and life skills through class-based curriculum and hands-on experiences.
Students learn team building and gain confidence by participating in rappelling and the Junior Cadet Leadership Camp held every summer.
Students also get the opportunity to participate in a variety of teams including Physical Fitness, Color Guard, Rifle, Academics, and CyberPatriot.
