Ms. Aimon Dwan, Orchestra Director
Before moving to Wisconsin, Aimon Dwan served as Orchestra Director at Academia Cotopaxi, an American International School in Quito, Ecuador. During her three years at Academia Cotopaxi, Ms. Dwan enjoyed teaching 4th-12th grade students from all over the world and connecting with families from diverse cultures. Prior to living in Ecuador, Ms. Dwan taught orchestra in Worthington, Minnesota. Additionally, she served as the director of North Star Strings, a community youth orchestra located in Mankato, Minnesota. The youth orchestra members, ranging in age from eight to fifteen, represented a variety of musical backgrounds and came together to advance their musicianship and build their ensemble skills. Since 2008, Ms. Dwan has taught private cello and violin lessons to students of all ages and experience levels.
Ms. Dwan earned her Bachelor of Music Education in Public School Teaching from The College of Wooster, in Wooster, Ohio, graduating summa cum laude. She holds a Master of Music Education degree from VanderCook College of Music in Chicago, Illinois.
Ms. Dwan is passionate about creating community through music. She loves seeing students from diverse backgrounds connect through the common goal of learning to play an instrument and make music.
