How do we tap into creative and innovative thinking to make and produce art responsibly?

How do the materials we choose to express ourselves with influence others?

This course presents students with the challenge to create art with a reduce, reuse, recycle mentality. In this semester-long (half-year) class, students will explore both traditional and non-traditional materials and tools in a variety of media- such as printmaking, collage, sculpture, fiber arts and found objects.  Throughout the course, students will develop their craft explicitly using the artistic process, bringing an idea from beginning to end through ideation, critical thinking and problem solving, reflection and presentation. 

This semester (half year) course is available to freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors.
