This will be my 20th year of teaching (wow! I can't even believe that!) I have taught 3rd grade for all but one of those years! My first 5 years of teaching was at St. Matthew's in Kalispell and since then I have been at West Valley. I absolutely love my job and look forward each and every year to seeing both new and old faces! I am especially looking forward to this year and seeing everyone!!
I am a native Montanan and was born and raised in Missoula. Growing up in Missoula I naturally became an avid Griz fan and basically grew up in Washington Grizzly Stadium....I even remember the days when there was no north or south end zone and it was all grass! (just walking by my classroom you could easily figure out that I love the Griz!) I am the oldest of 3 girls and 9 grandchildren and I knew at a very young age from taking care of my younger siblings and cousins that I wanted to be a teacher. I graduated from Loyola Sacred Heart High School in 2001 and went on to attend Carroll College graduating in 2005 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education.
I have been married to my husband Scott for 12 years and we have two beautiful daughters, Addison (9), and Avery (8). Both of my daughters attend West Valley School. Avery will even be in my class this year!!
I got married to my husband Scott in 2013 and we now have two beautiful daughters...Addison is 9 and Avery is 8. I also have a very active and hilarious puppy named Brick, and a very spunky cat named Chitty.
I'm a huge sports fanatic and especially love watching football. I am an avid Griz and Minnesota Vikings fan. I also have a huge passion for softball and volleyball, both of which I have played and coached. Before becoming a mom, I coached the West Valley 8th grade volleyball team.
