This track season, there has been some extreme improvement from everyone on the team. The boys and girls have been fighting and trying really hard to keep up with their achievements over the past years at West Perry High School.
Linsay Shepard is one of those athletes.
Shepard has come over some great heights of her own while trying to battle her way into the best throwers list at the javelin.
Shepherd's achievements are very important to her and she has been working super hard to be where she is.
Shepard explained, “Last year at the end of the season my (person record) was 87 feet, 5 inches, and this year is 99 feet and 8 inches.” Shepard then continued to mention how she has been consistently placing 2nd and 3rd at most or all of the meets this year. She even, “got one metal at the Arctic Blast Invitational.”
As you can tell from the above comments from Shepard, improvement is key when it comes to anything. This year's track and field teams have been in it to win it and they plan on continuing to better themselves and the team in every way, shape, or form possible.
It's always so important that no matter what you do, you are always pushing yourself to work harder and smarter than others. Always do your best no matter how high the mountain, or how strong the current is flowing in this crazy thing we call life. Always seek improvement in everything.
