On September 11th 2023, Mr. McCready had a few things to say about himself and why he chose to work at the school. 

 Mr. McCready chose to work at West Perry due to its strong community. With him being from a small town, he found interest in the strong values of the school. McCready stated he had never had proper structure when he was young so he hopes to inspire kids on their educational journey. 

Some of the things he looks forward to are getting to get to know the students on a personal level, and to figure out what the hype of ¨Donkey Basketball¨ is. This version of the sport requires the player to ride on a donkey while playing basketball, and it is most commonly played in a public school for fundraisers. McCready states, “some things that make me happy would be spending time with my friends and family and, watching others achieve their goals.”. In addition, his hobbies consist of training Maotai (hand-and-hand combat), lifting heavy weights, watching College Football and UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship), exploring new places, and, due to his past as a literature teacher, reading classical literature. 

McCready states ¨even though I may look big, mean, and tough, I have a big heart and am I a big softy¨. Plus, the people closest to him would describe him as outgoing, confident, and hardworking but tends to make too many jokes. Therefore, if any student ever has a problem they can always go to him and he will always listen.
