Who Has The Best Car In West Perry High School?
Matthew Taylor / October 2023
Some people at West Perry High School have impressive cars, it’s time to find out who has the best one. The cars were judged based on cleanliness, how new it is, how cool it looks, and overall how nice it is. But also as seen in the upcoming runner up, it can also be judged on the design and decorations of the car. As the runner up, Mrs. Wallis’ Volkswagen comes in to take the spot. The Towel seat covers adds on to the beachy look along with the color and cleanliness of the car just fit the theme perfectly, it was a nice car and a good runner up, congratulations to Wallis.
In third place, it was decided that a good seat for this position is Abigail Herd’s 2018 white Toyota 4Runner. It may be an older car but it still holds its own in the competition. It has nice leather seats, heated and cooled seats, a great stereo system and it also has a “really cool sunroof”, and the back window goes down. She's had the car since she started driving and overall it's a great car but there is a slight problem with it, “the steering wheel is jacked up”, she says that the steering is a bit off which can be annoying, it’s out of alignment, which is why it’s placed at third.
Second place is taken by Mr. Easterday’s gray 2018 Honda Civic. Easterday had bought this car brand new in 2017 because a student from West Perry convinced him to.. This car is appealing and is also clean and good looking. After some research, it is known that the Civic is one of the best compact cars and one of the best in its class. One unfortunate thing about the car is that it’s “too low to the ground so the bottom comes out all the time” and it’s “too small for tall people”. This car has “cool places to put stickers and little lego men”, which is a great thing for some people. And one extra fact about his car is that on the back, he has a sticker for his favorite Marbula One racing team, the Oceanics. In all realness, the car is really good and deserves second place.
Lastly we in first place, Mr. Whitfield’s 2017 gray Mustang. This car has amazing looks and it's also “my dream car”, so good for him. Whitfield has had the car for a little over a year now, it's in pristine condition and held up like a champ. Mustangs are liked by all for their speed and looks, and these days they are high in demand so they are made in bulk. But they are also pricey when bought new so it's pretty cool when someone you know gets their hands on one. The car has a 2.3 EcoBoost engine, making it safer for the environment but not cutting slack on the horsepower, which maxes out at 435 horsepower.
So congratulations to Mr. Whitfield, his Mustang comes on top and wins the competition of who has the best car in West Perry. But not so far behind, Mr. Easterday’s Honda Civic and Abigail Herd’s Toyota 4Runner are also great cars and maybe one day can come out on top and win this competition.
