My name is Mrs. (Gitten) DiTommaso, and I am so excited to join the Weston Middle School community as the new Drama Teacher and Drama Club Director!
Fall Musical: Once Upon a Mattress: Youth Edition
We are thrilled to present Once Upon a Mattress: Youth Edition as our fall musical. I’m looking forward to creating a fun, energetic, and supportive experience for our students as we bring this hilarious fairy tale to life!
We had three incredible days of auditions and callbacks! The room was filled with amazing talent, energy, and enthusiasm, and we are so proud of every middle schooler who participated. Thank you for encouraging your students to take this opportunity, step outside their comfort zones, and share their creativity with us. Every role is an important part of our production, and each student will have opportunities to grow, contribute, and shine throughout the process.
Students will receive their scripts and rehearsal materials on the first day of rehearsal, Monday, September 14. I have also included a copy of our September rehearsal schedule for families to review. Please review the schedule to see when your actor is called and check the WMS Drama Club Website for updates.

Saturday, November 14 at 5:00 PM
To be part of the CREW show up to the first crew meeting, Friday, September 18th in the art room.
🎭 Rehearsals begin Monday, September 14 from 3:25–5:25 PM.
📅 Rehearsals will generally take place Monday–Thursday, 3:25–5:25 PM.
Students will typically rehearse 2–4 days per week, depending on their role and the needs of the show.
The Rehearsal Schedule provides an overview of our schedule through November. Each week, Mrs. DiTommaso will also post a Weekly Call in the Fall Musical Google Classroom. The Weekly Call will let you know which students are expected at each rehearsal.
You will not necessarily be called to every rehearsal. If you are not called for a particular day, you may go home as usual.
Musical rehearsals run a little longer than a regular after-school club, with rehearsals ending at 5:25 PM.
The district provides late bus transportation for students participating in after-school activities, academic support, and athletics.
Middle School late bus 1: Departs at 4:30 PM
Middle School late bus 2: Departs at 5:30 PM
In-town late bus routes are posted in the Main Office of each school. Please have your parent/guardian help you review the routes and become familiar with the Late Bus system if needed.
