Students step away from the computers to directly work on composition with their own hands - hand lettering! We discuss the importance of information transfer, application and legibility. Text is created by physically moving objects and creatively problem-solving to legibly depict each letter. Contemporary "tactile lettering artists" are shown, including Becca Clason and Adé Hogue.
