Students will learn how to drill and will receive physical training. As this program is focused on the Air Force, students will also learn about air and space travel, including special projects using rockets, kites, and balsa wood airplanes.
JROTC is a fantastic program for anyone who wants to develop their leadership skills, regardless if they have an interest in the military.
Any student ultimately interested in pursuing a career in the military, considering involvement in ROTC at the university level or enrollment at military academies should register for this program!
This class is ideal for students interested in any of the following careers: military, law enforcement, firefighter or any uniformed first responders.
WHS JROTC program has a focus on the Air Force - however, students interested in ALL branches of the military will benefit.
Students who complete a minimum of two years of JROTC will qualify for increased pay and rank if they do enlist in the military after high school.
