Dr. Mark A. Elgart

President and CEO of Cognia, an educational partner for over 36,000 institutions in 85 countries, Mark is an influential leader in education policy with a focus on bridging the gap between school evaluation and student achievement. Cognia is working with educators to create learner-centric, competency based systems that embrace each learner’s uniqueness and adapt learning systems to ensure students are ready and prepared for the future. Mark is an internationally recognized speaker and is widely viewed as the foremost authority on school improvement and education quality. He is a frequent author on educational issues including recent white papers on federal policy and school improvement.

Dr. Scott MCLEOD

An Associate Professor of Educational Leadership at the University of Colorado Denver, Scott McLeod, J.D., Ph.D., is widely recognized as one of the nation’s leading experts on P-12 school leadership, technology, and innovation. He is the Founding Director of the UCEA Center for the Advanced Study of Technology Leadership in Education (CASTLE), the only university center in the U.S. dedicated to the technology needs of school administrators, and is the co-creator of the wildly popular video series, Did You Know? (Shift Happens).

Dr. Robert J. Marzano

Dr. Marzano partnered with Westminster Public Schools to open a Marzano Academy in WPS in the fall of 2018. He was an early partner in WPS's move to a Competency Based System and has been a principal advisor to WPS for over a decade.

During his 50 years in the field of education, he has worked with educators as a speaker and trainer and has authored more than 50 books including the hugely influential The New Art and Science of Teaching. He also writes and speaks about a variety of education topics including instruction, assessment, writing and implementing standards, cognition, effective leadership, school intervention and the building of High Reliability Schools.
