Dear Blacksmith Families:
It's now our second week of distance learning and so many things have changed. However, WA teachers are still teaching, students are still learning, and the counseling department is still supporting students and families. We have updated the links on this website to include resources that encourage balanced students and an approach to learning that encourages self-management. Families and students are welcome to use the resources here for healthy ways to regulate emotions, take breaks, and connect with others during this time apart. When we again come together as a school community, we'll be that much more thankful for each other and the experiences we've learned from.
At anytime, please contact a counselor for an opportunity to discuss emotional and behavioral health concerns, academic supports, scheduling needs, or high school and college counseling questions. In addition, if you need access to community resources, or if your financial or living situations have changed and you need assistance, we are here to help.
Sincerely,
Lakshmi Morgan, K-5 Counselor
Sara DeRaud, G6-8 Counselor
Lisa Phillips, G9-12 Counselor
Carl Tippen, College Counselor
