Dear Blacksmith Family,
The events over the past few weeks and uncertainty about what’s to come are unprecedented, but it’s a period that we’ll get through together as a community, as we always do. We know that COVID-19 is placing a significant strain on families and we’re here to help.
Fear and anxiety about the virus and the unusual isolation can be overwhelming and cause strong emotions in adults and children. The WA Counseling Department is committed to supporting our community during this time. The well-being and health of our families is our top priority. We will be holding office hours via Google Hangouts Meet for any students or parents who would like to make an appointment. Just email your counselor and we’ll send you a calendar invitation. We have several resources listed on the next page that you may find helpful. We encourage all of you to find balance, take care of yourselves, and reach out when you are in need.
Sincerely,
Lakshmi Morgan, K-5 Counselor
Sara DeRaud, G6-8 Counselor
Lisa Phillips, G9-12 Counselor
Carl Tippen, College Counselor
