5S Calendar - About Me

Hello! I am a fifth grade teacher at Tamaques, but have had the pleasure of teaching third and fourth grade too! I have been at Tamaques my entire career, which is a pretty long time. I am a lifelong learner who is passionate about reading, teaching, traveling and hiking. I have lived in Westfield almost all of my life, and I have lived in the same house since I was 2! I have two amazing children named Erik and Carlee, a lovable puppy named Cooper and a funny husband named Mr. Swanson:). In my spare time I love to read, shop, hike, travel, spend time with friends and family and take my dog for long walks.

Fifth grade is the best year ever! I can't wait to start our journey together. We are going to have so much fun in our 5S community.

This is me! I went to school at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. I also love Rutgers and am an honorary graduate since Mr. Swanson went there:).

Mr. Swanson and I love to travel. We have been to many places in the United States, Europe and Canada. This past year we went to Belgium, Amsterdam Luxemburg and Portugal Where will we go next?

This is my fabulous family. I have 2 amazing children: Erik who lives in Texas, Carlee who is in graduate school studying to be a physical therapist, our 4 year old cream golden Cooper and Charlie, our 2 year old grand dog. Can't forget Mr. Swanson!!

This is Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire where we've been going every summer for the past 22 years. It is one of our favorite places in the world!
