About Me

Hello Families!

My name is Mrs. Leach, and I have been teaching elementary school since 2007. I've worked with students from grades 1 through 5 and enjoy challenging my students and seeing them grow. In 2009, I received my Master of Arts in Education from the College of Saint Elizabeth, and I am dual certified in Special Education and Elementary Education. During my career, I decided to learn more explicit methods for teaching reading and pursued my certification in Orton-Gillingham through FDU.

As a lifelong learner I am determined to study as many strategies for teaching as I can -- multi-sensory techniques are my favorite. In addition to teaching content, I am passionate about helping students discover the best methods for their personal learning. A huge piece of education is learning about how you learn.

I look forward to meeting and getting to know the students this year. Communication is vital for a great parent/teacher relationship, so please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns. The best way to contact me is via email. I know this will be a fun-filled year of learning for all!
